Curlewis Golf Club & The Range @ Curlewis
Temporary Closure of HOSPITALITY OPERATIONS until further notice.

In response to both the Federal and Victorian State Government’s directives to shutdown non-essential operations in order to prevent, contain and ultimately eradicate Coronavirus, both hospitality operations at the Curlewis Clubhouse and The Range @ Curlewis will cease operations until it is deemed safe to do so by medical authorities.

As deeply upsetting as this is for our awesome hospitality teams, we are committed to do whatever it takes to keep our great community and country safe in this time of unprecedented crisis.

Golf Course, Driving Bays, Mini Golf – OPEN
At this stage - and until further notification from authorities - the Curlewis Golf Course and the The Range @ Curlewis Driving Range bays and Mini Golf will remain open with the mandatory requirement for rigid social distancing for all players.

Please be respectful of our great team during this time of uncertainty. We appreciate your support and understanding.

Coronavirus Update - 26th March 2020,

As the COVID-19 crisis continues to evolve there have been recent restrictions put in place by Government which significantly impact the way in which CGC can continue to operate.

At this stage the good news is that members can continue to play social golf however there are now several modifications and restrictions around this.

Details of the major changes to our operations have been provided below. Please be mindful however that this situation is changing rapidly and it is a real possibility that the course may be forced to close sometime in the near future.

We would appreciate the support and understanding of all members during this unprecedented time and will keep you updated as the situation unfolds.

Clubhouse Closed

From 12 noon on Monday 23 March access to the Clubhouse for all members and patrons was closed in response to Government and Golf Australia recommendations.

This closure has been done in an effort to help reduce the spread of Coronavirus and in the interest of health and safety for all members, guests and staff.

Cancelled Events

With all non-essential gatherings banned, a number of upcoming events have now been cancelled.

50th Anniversary Dinner "Down Memory Lane" has been cancelled with the hope to re-schedule later in the year.

In addition the Ladies Irish 4-Ball, Junior Clinics, Corporate Golf Days and District competitions (including Pennant) have all been cancelled.

Social Play Only

Until further notice the course will be open for Social play only. There will be no competitions held and as of Saturday 28 March all play will be a 1 tee start.

There is to be no socialising before or after the game, no sharing of equipment and no gatherings. It is now simply turn up, play and then leave.

These decisions have been made to limit contact between players around the course and also interactions between players and staff.

Changes to Play

We remind all players that you are required to strictly adhere to the current social distancing guidelines whilst out on the course. In addition the following rules are in place:

Local Rule change: putting must be done with the flagstick in.

No bunker rakes. We ask that you smooth over with your foot or club.

Bathroom Access

With the Clubhouse closed there is no access to use the bathroom facilities within the Clubhouse.

On Course bathrooms will still remain open so please factor this into your round of golf.

With reduced access to bathrooms for hand washing we advise all members to bring and use their own personal hand sanitiser.

Pro Shop Service

All service at the Club will now be via the Pro Shop Window with members encouraged to use tap and go payment facilities.

As we are currently running on skeleton staff so we ask members to be please be understanding and patient with staff both in person and via phone.

Food & Beverages

With the Clubhouse Bistro and kitchen now closed there will only be limited food options available for those on the course.

We can unfortunately no longer offer members coffee, hot beverages, sandwiches and rolls.

Cold beverages, snacks such as chips and chocolate bars and limited sausage rolls and pies will still be available to purchase from the Pro Shop window.

Cart Usage
