Since becoming a Certified PGA Teaching Professional Steve has held various senior coaching positions including Director of Coaching at Albert Park Golf Academy and Teaching Professional at Yarra Bend prior to joining Curlewis in 2014.

JARRYD COLLIS - PGA TEACHING PROFESSIONAL

Jarryd, a native Tasmanian moved to Victoria in 2019 to further his career as a PGA Teaching Professional and has since moved to the Bellarine area with wife Kaitlan & newborn baby Oli.
Jarryd didn’t take up the game of golf until the age of 21, and in his own words ‘a late starter’ describes being captivated by the sport and quickly found his feet whilst working at Barnbougle Dunes as within 18 months he was representing Tasmania at a state level.
Jarryd’s passion for the game quickly turned into his daily living working at some of Tasmania’s best golfing destinations in the Riverside Golf Club & The Country Club Tasmania.
Working alongside teaching professional Bryce Gorham Jarryd decided that helping others was his passion and embarked on a traineeship in 2017. Completing his PGA traineeship in 2020 Jarryd was thankful to receive high honours within his PGA studies finishing 1st Australia-wide academically across all 3-year levels, an achievement Jarryd believes is indicative of his desire to not only know the ‘how’ but the ‘why’, to ensure he can help players of all abilities further improve and enjoy the game of golf.

Jarryd has previously worked at the Yarra Yarra Golf Club as a teaching professional where his focus was heavily spent on growing the game for Women building programs that quickly saw up-to 100 lady participants learning the game each week.
Jarryd enjoys coaching players of all abilities and believes a fun, yet educational learning environment is key. Jarryd also holds a TPI certification allowing him to assess the function and movement patterns of players to help identify and correct swing errors and help players return to the game post-injury or during the recovery phase.
